Leading through a wide range of disciplines to develop a process concept up to the design a processing plant requires a trainer to be exceptionally well-versed and experienced in a wide-range spectrum of applications to achieve the desired learning outcome. The emphasis must be on broad and deep understanding rather than highly-specialized knowledge. Furthermore, to inculcate the necessary courage, yes even a daring engineering spirit into the mind of the participants, the trainer must represent an inspiring role-model by the way he illustrates scientific and engineering principles in the classroom and how he addresses the diverse questions and ideas during the entire course and over the various disciplines.
Michael G. Schnitzlein, head and founder of ProcessEngineer.EU has received his formal training in chemical engineering and business administration both in Germany and the U.S. He has acquired extensive experience in process engineering and operations management during the last 35 years in both multinational companies as well as medium sized operations in Europe, Asia, Australia and the United States. In addition, he has been teaching process engineering and plant design subjects at universities and technical colleges for the last 15 years, while engaging in process development and research projects.
